Know your diamond

Browns diamond jewellery eligible for upgrade is engraved with a unique identity number thereby guaranteeing that your diamond is as stated on your certificate. This individual number allows us to trace your stone’s unique history from the master craftsmen who cut and polished it, bringing it to life, to the finest goldsmiths and setters who celebrated its beauty in a design which would enhance and showcase its sparkle.

Your lifetime guarantee

When you purchase a diamond from Browns The Diamond Store you will receive a Browns Jewellery Certificate documenting the characteristics of your diamond thereby ensuring your lifetime authenticity guarantee. For extra peace of mind, you will also receive an independent, internationally recognised diamond certificate. If the diamond characteristics are found not be as stated on your certificate we will accept the return of your jewellery and provide you with a full credit or replace the diamond with a diamond that meets or exceeds the characteristics as stated on the certificate

Grow your diamond

Watch your diamond grow with the Browns Diamond Investment Program. At Browns we offer a unique diamond upgrade program which allows you to exchange your diamond for a larger or more valuable stone and only pay the difference. This is a practical and easy way of “growing” your diamond.

Diamond upgrade conditions:

Only serialized and certified items of diamond jewellery qualify for an upgrade. The price of the new item must be at least double the price of the original item. Should a gemologist not be available in-store at the time of the requested exchange, the diamond may be required to be sent to a gemologist for testing. Should the original item require work to restore it to its original condition a charge may be incurred. All jewellery which has been exchanged through the Diamond Investment Program is reconditioned and recorded as “Estate” jewellery in our inventory. This description will be printed on the sales invoice at the time of purchase.

Jewellery which was purchased on sale or where discount over and above the standard 35% was given is not eligible. Custom designs and special orders are not eligible for an upgrade either.

The following diamond jewellery is eligible for an upgrade (the jewellery eligible may change without prior notification):

• Rings: 0.25 carats and up (centre diamond weight).
• Pendants: 0.25 carats and up (solitaire pendants only).
• Diamond Stud Earrings: 0.25 carats total weight and up (solitaire studs only).
• Bracelets: Only the Browns Traditional Tennis Bracelet of 3 carats and up.
• Necklaces: Only the Browns Traditional Tennis Necklace of 5 carats and up.
• Journey Pendants: Only the classic “S” Journey Pendant.
